Description
Use the 20A or 32A cable in conjunction with our Gen2 Mobile Connector Adaptor to connect your Model 3’s Mobile Connector (that came with the car and is usually found in the sub-boot) to a 3phase 20A or 32A socket.
These are the most common outlets you will encounter in the field. Note that the pins on the plug are different – you can’t connect a 20A plug into a 32A socket and vice versa. Your Model 3 will charge at 7.2kW at a 32A socket and 4.8kW at a 20A socket.
Be sure to select which plug type you need – 20A or 32A via the pull-down menu. A better solution is to be prepared – carry both.
Add a carry bag so you can keep your new charging cables in one convenient spot, easy to lift in and out of the car.
Note: At 20A charging locations, turn down the Amperage setting in the car to 20A.
